5th Grade Science

Ready...set...science!!! Our hands-on fifth grade science curriculum is full speed ahead! Aligned with the National Science Standards, our hands-on approach to presenting and exploring science creates a solid foundation for deep understanding of our topic. In preparation for the state science exam, we've engaged young scientists in a 10-week exploration of matter.

So far, we've explored the properties of matter, conducted simple experiments, identified states of matter, and explored a non-Newtonian substance. Recently, we've taken the knowledge we have so far and applied it to our understanding of energy. Over the next few weeks, we'll explore the energy of matter and how we can utilize this. This will help deepen our understanding of how our world works.
