Depending on the group, many of our young scientists have science notebooks where we've been practicing taking notes. This includes our word of the day and often incorporates illustrations, which young scientists are challenged to label for further understanding. The result... some absolutely amazing notes! But why is this important?
On Saturday, September 30th, Kiddie Science was once again a proud participant of the community-wide PLG ArtsFest! This year, we hosted teen artist Kai B. for her art debut. Thank you for attending and for your words of support and encouragement for our budding artist. Thanks to PLG Arts for putting together this annual event. See you next year!
Last week, we quickly and quietly raised funds to purchase resources for the community. Our goal is to temporarily turn the Kiddie Science Lab Little Free Library into a resource hub with back-to-school supplies for anyone that needs it. Thanks to the generosity of many, we were able to secure a variety of materials which includes fully stocked pencil cases, crayons, markers, binders, notebooks, pens, and much more! Starting September 6th until supplies last, we invite you to stop by our Little Free Library and help yourself to the resources you need (and leave for others). THANK YOU for your support!! Bringing their love and expertise of movement and dance, Pixie Pods guides young learners through large motor movements that engage their brains and bodies! Each class incorporates vocabulary, gross motor skills, and purposeful movement, all led by an enthusiastic expert educator. Pixie Pods has been presenting their expertise at the Kiddie Science Lab for the last year and we're excited to continue our partnership!
You can join Pixie Pods this fall at the Lab in a number of ways. After school on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, or on Sunday mornings for a wiggling good time! You can learn more about Pixie Pods on their website. |
My son LOVES these classes, so informative, hands on and fun! Loading PurpleAir Widget...
