Engineering Club News: Lego Building

The incredible in-kind support from individual donors like you has allowed our young engineers access to high quality materials that allow them to explore the subject in a fully hands-on manner.  In a typical after school session, we used half the class time to explore a specific engineering topic, and the second half was open ended exploration with an assortment of materials which you purchased for them. Thank you!

As our exploration moved from how cars work to how homes are built, our young scientists were able to immerse themselves in self guided exploration of each topic. Throughout, your support allowed us to focus on the true essence of engineering, "the action of working artfully to bring something about".

In addition to the fundamentals of engineering, our young scientists focused on collaboration and teamwork as a means of troubleshooting.
