Middle School Science Highlights

We really mean it when we say science is for everyone, and middle schoolers are most definitely included! This summer, we had the pleasure of extending our work with the Flatbush Beacon Center and including grades 6th to 8th in the hands-on science fun.

This summer, we implemented the Scientific Method in various fun ways. In addition to exploring the acidity of certain liquids, we also got a little messy as we explored simple chemical reactions and some color science. The highlights of the summer included our electricity exploration, and the hoop glider challenge. The latter earned two students major bragging rights as their hoop glider casually cleared fifty feet during the final challenge test flight.
