Spring is the perfect time to get outside, breathe in the fresh air, and observe the world around us. One of the best ways to connect with nature is by taking a simple walk. Let's make it even more fun with Nature Walk Bingo! Spending time outdoors helps reduce stress, improves focus, and deepens our connection with our planet. When kids actively look for plants, animals, and natural patterns, they develop curiosity and appreciation for nature.
To play Nature Walk Bingo, you can use our sample card below or challenge yourself to create one of your own! You can add items like a tree with peeling bark, a rock with a unique shape, or even cloud that looks like an animal. Once you have your Nature Walk Bingo card, head outside! Prospect Park is a great spot, but we also encourage you to explore your immediate neighborhood. There's lots of nature in local communities! Mark off what you find and snap pictures of your favorite ones. You can also use a science notebook or journal to draw what you see. Found something cool? Want to share your nature finds?
