It was a fun afternoon exploring the science of bubbles. First, we discussed what a bubble is. Next, we focused on a question: what is the shape of a bubble? We used different types of items as bubble wands and no matter what shape we used, we observed that the bubbles are always round. Next, we explored what makes the perfect bubble solution. We used a combination of water, liquid soap, glycerin, and corn syrup to create a solution that was just sticky enough to make giant bubbles. We shaped chenille stems into desired shapes and the exploration began! We would like to thank the Friends of Greenwood Playground for sponsoring this Pop-Up Science workshop.
