School Break Science- Spring Break

4/7/2018

It was a fun week with our young scientists during School Break Science, spring break edition!
This program is made possible thanks to the generous support of Con Edison.

Our engineers took on an egg-citing challenge! They had to plan and create a contraption that can keep an egg safe when thrown. Through trial and error, we all succeeded!

Although the weather wasn't backyard-friendly, we started our seeds indoors and made compost tea for our plants. We created recycled planters and made balloon terrariums.

We also learned about the water cycle and explored what happens when water becomes polluted. Through a water filtration project, we explored how dirty water can be made clean again. Our young scientists agreed that it was a lot of work!

My son LOVES these classes, so informative, hands on and fun!
