Week 3 of Summer Science

8/6/2021

This week, our young scientists learned more about pollinators and the important role they play in our garden and beyond. We identified basic parts of invertebrates and learned more about more commonly ones found here in Brooklyn. Our young scientists focused on invertebrate characteristics such as symmetry and anatomy. We combined science and art then added a bit of creativity as we became busy bees pollinating the garden.

Spicy Mildred and Rocky continue to greatly enjoy their time with our young scientists. We've been able to observe a lot of behaviors and vocalizations, and Spicy has gotten really comfortable with being gently touched by our young scientists. We've been enjoying our responsibility of caring for and being around the living things at the Lab.
