Welcome to Citizen Science!

12/11/2025

Our response to the consequences of living on a changing planet is directly focused on community education and empowerment. Recent heat waves and diminished air quality are two examples of climate change that are experienced by New Yorkers. Whether through lack of green space and trees, or limited access to accurate air quality data, the consequences have real impact that disproportionately affects under-represented families and communities.

The Citizen Science program is rooted in the spirit of resiliency and aims to provide  communities with the skills and information they need to begin engaging in purposeful dialogue that encourages impactful change.

We're excited to share that Kiddie Science is working with Guardians of Flushing Bay as a community partner to expand and amplify this initiative. Thanks to their advocacy, air quality sensors will be coming to the Queens Botanical Gardens and to Corona Arts & Sciences Academy in the new year!
