Summer Science 2022 @ the Lab
NEW!!! Summer Science meets Mondays through Thursdays, 9:30am to 12pm. A whole week of hands-on science for age 4 to 8!
Summers are all about gardening and backyard chickens at the Kiddie Science Lab! Young scientists age 4 to 8 care for the Lab gardens, which includes fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs. We learn about urban chicken care through direct, hands-on experiences with our backyard hens. We expand our scientific vocabulary while participating in related projects and activities. Summer Science at the Lab is a small-group, in-person drop-off program. Masks are required. |
Join us for one week or more of hands-on science fun! During each session, young scientists spend social time exploring Lab materials, assist with feeding our turtle Spaghetti, provide direct care to our gardens, spend time with the backyard chickens, and explore science topics related to our exploration. We take a 15-minute break for snack either outdoors or distanced inside the Lab. Please provide a nut-free snack and water.
NEW!! This program meets Mondays through Thursdays from 9:30am to 12pm. The program fee of $230 per week includes all materials (sibling discount available). Summer Science at the Lab is made possible thanks to ongoing support from the Roehr Family Foundation.
