HOME SCHOOL STEAM GROUP
The Home School STEAM Group is geared toward age 7 to 11 and aims to connect young learners with meaningful, hands-on experiences that expose them to scientific concepts, supports creativity and skill building, and enhances their understanding of related vocabulary. Each week, families can expect to receive a re-cap of what we've learned to help reinforce the concepts at home.
This program meets on THURSDAYS, from 9:45am to 12pm.
Masks are recommended and we do not pause for snack time (though a water bottle is suggested).

Fall 2023 Home School STEAM Group
THURSDAYS, 9:45am to 12pm
September 21st, 28th | October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 30th | December 7th & 14th
This fall, we dive into the Engineering Design Process! We conduct explorations and focus on projects that engage us in deeper thinking about how things work. We’ll approach our topic through a problem-solving lens that engages young scientists in tinkering and thinking creatively. Some projects will challenge us to address real-world problems as they relate to sustainability, clean water, renewable energy, and more. Our goal is to focus on process-based thinking and expose young scientists to new science tools and experiences. During some of our workshops, we’ll make mention of our changing planet, climate change, and eco-urban solutions.
The Kiddie Science Lab is located at 509 Rogers Avenue, door on the right.
