HOME SCHOOL STEAM GROUP
The Home School STEAM Group is geared toward age 7 to 10 and aims to connect young learners with meaningful, hands-on experiences that expose them to scientific concepts, supports creativity, skill building through chess, and enhances their understanding of related vocabulary. Each week, families can expect to receive a re-cap of what we've learned to help reinforce the concepts at home.
This fall, we will be spending time in our gardens providing care and focusing on nature science. When you look at a leaf, what do you see? We explore this question through a scientific and artistic perspective that exposes us to vocabulary, hands-on projects, and experiences that enhance our understanding of the topic. We learn more about what grows in the fall and make connections to food science and sustainability. In addition to science, we incorporate math through weighing and measuring, art through related projects, gross motor movement, and chess!
