Community Connections: NYC Parks

Got bulbs? Daffodil bulbs, that is! Registration to receive free daffodil bulbs from New Yorkers for Parks. 

Free bulbs are available to any group or individual planting them in a public space such as a park, community garden, or public plaza. Registration is available now through September 1st.



Bulb pick-up time is 10:30am to 12:30pm on the following dates and locations:


Brooklyn: Saturday, 9/10 at Seth Low Houses Community Center
Bronx: Saturday, 9/17 at St. Mary's Park
Brooklyn: Saturday, 9/24 at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket
Queens: Saturday, 10/1 at Forest Park
Queens: Saturday, 10/8 at the Rockaways Firehouse at Beach 59th
Staten Island: Saturday, 10/15 at Silver Lake Park
Manhattan: Sunday, 10/16 at Union Square

Register for free bulbs here

Stop by Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park for an exploration of the flowers and bugs that live there. Wednesday, August 31st from 6:30 to 7:30pm. This is a ticketed event ($5 for members, $10 for non-members).

​This year's annual festival, sponsored by Hudson River Park and the New York Hall of Science, will be action-packed with tons of free activities exploring and celebrating our coastal waters.

Saturday, September 24th
11am to 4pm
Pier 26 on the Hudson River

This is a free, family-friendly event
