SCHOOL BREAK SCIENCE IS FULL

School Break Science engages young scientists age 6 to 10 in meaningful, hands-on science exploration during select dates when public schools are closed for holidays. This program meets from 10am to 12pm on the following dates:

Monday, April 10th: Botany Explorers
Young scientists explore the parts and structures of plants, leaves, and trees. We explore soil composition and create a terrarium to care for at home.

Tuesday, April 11th: Slime Time
We make variations of ooey gooey slime to take home and explore the science behind this fun and gross semi-solid.

Wednesday, April 12th: Engineering
In addition to free exploration of engineering materials, young scientists will explore and use simple machines. We will also explore and build a simple paper helicopter.

Thursday, April 13th: Chemistry
We use simple ingredients to conduct chemistry experiments that fizz, bubble, and pop.
Young scientists will explore how and why these reactions occur while implementing the Scientific Method.
