The Urban Agriculture workshops our young scientists are currently participating in is part of the Family Science program, an initiative aimed at getting children and adults to explore science together. Launched just last summer, the Family Science program has so far engaged over 60 families in fun, hands-on science exploration. By focusing this summer's exploration on urban agriculture, our goal is to help connect families with nature and learn how our some of our food grows.
The success of this summer program has garnered the support of the local community, other organizations, and elected officials. Much like our garden, the Family Science program continues to grow!
