Sonic Arts For All (SAFA!) is a local non-profit whose mission is to provide a fun, yet still rigorous, alternative to the traditional music classroom. Utilizing technology as the key component of their curriculum, SAFA! aims to change the face of music education.
We are excited to share that starting November 27th, SAFA! will begin presenting an after school program at the Kiddie Science Lab for ages 7 to 12. This workshop meets from 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Mondays. Workshop participants get to use professional digital music and recording equipment to explore and create music.

Partnering with SAFA! directly complements our approach of hands-on learning and exploration. The incorporation of technology exposes young scientists to new and innovative ways to express and explore sound. We're extremely excited to be partnering with SAFA! to bring programming to the Lab and we look forward to a long-term partnership.
During each 2-hour workshop, students will split their time between a focused lesson goal and open exploration of the music and recording equipment. Advanced registration is required and is available on a per-workshop basis, so you can sign up for as many or as little workshops. To allow for maximum individualized attention, group size is limited to no more than 10 per workshop.
