Women in STEM fields...where are they? The Global STEM Alliance of the New York Academy of Sciences and its partners are investing in virtual mentoring to reach young women from around the world. Through the 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures program, a young woman can spend a year working with a female STEM professional.
New fossil found! Researchers have found 125-million year old mammalian fossil which looks like an African rodent. The fossil showcases spines similar to a hedgehog and has been linked to the times when dinosaurs thrived in the region. The paleontologists working on the project found the fossil in Cuenca, Spain. The fossil includes a complete skeleton with preserved fur. |
