Our first week of exploration of urban agriculture has included some very hot and sunny days. Of course, that didn't stop the scientific fun from continuing!
Our initial introduction to the garden included a scavenger hunt and a smell tour. During each workshop, young scientists and their caregivers water and care for the garden. So far, we've explored what makes soil healthy, gone digging for bugs, planted mini sunflowers to care for at home, tasted freshly picked foods, and replanted a cabbage named "Jamie" which we hope to harvest in about a month.
